CHEWY SUGAR

Gain the Advantage

at these fine stores & others…

Many high performance equestrians feed sugar cubes to encourage their horses or ponies to chew on the bit for a soft relaxed contact with their horses’ mouth. Some horses have very dry mouths and lean on the bit and may pull against the rider’s hand. Sugar cubes encourage chewing and salivation, but does not last very long.

GumBits is designed with over 89% sugar, and balance all natural beeswax of the highest NF grade. While the beeswax found naturally in honeycomb is edible, the "NF" designation indicates it meets strict quality and purity standards for commercial use in various industries, including food.  The horses love the sweet taste and lasting effect of the chewing creating salivation.

Horses foam at the mouth with a bit because the presence of the bit stimulates increased saliva production, and a protein called latherin in the saliva creates a foamy substance when agitated by the horse's chewing motions and jaw movements. A light, white "happy foam" often indicates a relaxed, accepting horse that is working correctly with the bit.

After chewing GumBits, we call it #GumBitsHappy!
