Founded in 2005 by Shereen Fuqua of Collecting Gaits Farm, GumBits’ partnered with United States Equestrian Federation from their beginning sponsoring the USEF-Collecting Gaits Farm National Dressage Championships & Olympic Trials held in Gladstone since 2003, then US Pony Finals in 2016. GumBits became the USEF “Official Training Treat & Supplier of the US Teams”in 2020.

The “chewy sugar” is available in Europe, & Australia since 2012. In 2024, GumBits partnered with PSI Events of Horses and Dreams Entertainment GmbH promoting "the Chewing Gum for Horses" at all four of their FEI Show Jumping & Dressage events up to CDI-four star & CSI-three star in Germany.
